Located in Templeogue and Tallaght, split by the M50 at Tallaght. There are large colonies of wildfowl here, including a resident population of Mallard ducks, coot, moohern and swans.  Tymon Lane was an ancient road linking the villages of Greenhills and Balrothery and followed a winding course along the crest of the sand and gravel hills. It has been incorporated into the park as a very pleasant walking route.
Extensive woodland planting provides much needed cover and has enhanced the many lovely walks. Tymon Park is home to the National Basketball Arena and a children's play area.
